Ghanaian born singer-songwriter and record producer, Gladstorm Kwabena Akwaboah Jnr., professionally known for his remarkable exhibition of musicianship as Akwaboah Jnr. has hinted on his intentions to stage an annual musical concert dubbed “Matters Of The Heart” mini concert.
Though much is not known about the yet to be staged event, it is believed that, the main objective of this project is to give back to fans and patrons for enormously and practically contributing to the Akwaboah brand. The event will also celebrated successful release and promotion of his timeless album titled “Matters Of The Heart”.
The multiple awards winning, and Black Entertainment Tv (BET) Awards Hip Pop nominee, Sarkodie’s protégé will be performing a host of his songs, preferably, tunes on the “Matters Of The Heart” album and some notable hits songs from his camp.
The date, venue and time of the event is yet to be communicated.
In 2018, SarkCess Music signed artiste, Akwaboah has after a successful released his much awaited “Matters of The Heart Album”. The 12 track Matters of The Heart Album features label mates Sarkodie, Strongman, Nigerian songstress Seyi Shey, Efya and Txt.
Among the songs on the 12-track album include ‘Number One ‘Obiba’, ‘Forget’, ‘Dance Floor’, ‘Hold Me Down’, ‘Me Pa Wo Kyew’, ‘Matters of the Heart’, ‘Let You Go’, ‘Open Your Heart’, ‘Hye Me Bo’, ‘Love Unfair’, and ‘Worship (medley)’. The ‘Matters of the Heart’ album has some fine productions brewed in pure African music pot.
Gladstorm Kwabena Akwaboah Jnr., known by his stage name Akwaboah Jnr, is a Ghanaian singer-songwriter and producer from Mampong Beposo. He wrote “Daa Ke Daa” for Becca and”Ayeyi Ndwom” for DSP Kofi Sarpong. Both songs won their respective artistes’ awards at the 2010 Ghana Music Awardswith Akwaboah subsequently being adjudged the “Song Writer for the Year” for”Daa Ke Daa”.
Akwaboah, who is a master keyboardist, has played for several local and international artistes including Hugh Masekela and John Legend, and has assisted several musicians to make it big in the industry. On the 14th of March talented singer, songwriter and producer Akwaboah was signed unto Sarkcess music, a record label owned by BET Award winner Sarkodie. Akwaboah also produced and co-wrote BET Award winner Sarkodie’s fourth album Mary.
