Krysis Entertainment/Krysis Musique Inc., an international reggae music production house and record label has announced today, the establishment of an annual roots reggae music festival to be held in Ghana. The maiden edition of the music festival, branded as Jammin’ Reggae Fest ’18, is the first in a series of music entertainment initiatives planned by Krysis Entertainment/Krysis Musique Inc. to unearth (or revive) and showcase roots reggae musical talents in Ghana and the rest of Africa, for purposes of grooming them musically and professionally to global success and stardom.
Jammin’ Reggae Fest ’18 is scheduled to be held at the W.E.B. DuBois Center in Accra on December 30, 2018 from 5pm to 10:00pm and will feature some of the finest roots reggae musicians to have originated from Ghana in the last 40 years. Sammy Nukpese’s Roots Anabo, Knii Lante, Kente Band, Nana Fynn and US based Lokal Krysis are the notable roots reggae performers who will be performing at Jammin’ Reggae Fest ’18, in addition to the Perfect Melodies Band and several other special guests.
Jammin’ Reggae Fest ’18 concert on December 30, 2018 is also being organized to facilitate greater awareness of autism and the plight of children with the developmental disability in Ghana. According to Krysis Entertainment/Krysis Musique Inc., its representatives are in discussions with a handful of non-profit organizations and support centers in Ghana to lead autism awareness and communication efforts during the scheduled concert. Net gate proceeds from the concert will be donated to support efforts at combating autism and aiding the recovery of children with autism in Ghana.
Reggae music fans attending Jammin’ Reggae Fest ’18 can expect world class stage set and lighting and a combination of high-quality reggae music performances and covers from some of the world’s most famous reggae legends such as Bob Marley, Steel Pulse, Third World, Peter Tosh, Culture and Morgan Heritage. Ahuma Bosco Ocansey (also known as Daddy Bosco), Broadcast Media Consultant, Director of Communications and Special Projects at MUSIGA and President of the Rastafari Council in Ghana will be the Master of Ceremonies at Jammin’ Reggae Fest ’18.
