Appietus Says The Quality Of Ghanaian Music Has Declined

Legendary producer, Appietus holds the view that the quality of Ghanaian music has declined.

Appietus had ealier proposed to organize a masterclass for producers as he is not impressed with the sounds he hears today.

”Iwas motivated to do this based on the production I am hearing lately. They cannot compete on the international market and as an award-winning producer, I cannot just sit and do nothing but help in the little way I can.

I will be teaching topics such as Mastering, Mixing, Voice Recording, and everything any individual wants to know about sound engineering at an affordable price,”

HE TOLD GRAPHIC SHOWBIZ IN AN INTERVIEW.

Speaking on Hitz FM’s ‘DaybreakHitz’, the ‘Otelege’ producer stated he doesn’t have interest in sounds that is not originating from Ghana.

According to him, reggae is definitely credited to Jamaica when it is played.

He said;

”Any sound that is not originating from Ghana, I do not have any interest in it. When you play Reggae, it would definitely be credited to Jamaica”

Meanwhile, producer and mentor to Appietus, Fred Kyei Mensah disagrees with him, saying the output of Ghanaian music now is not poor.
