Fans were taken aback by the multi-award-winning musician Asake’s recent announcement of his 2025 tour, which is solely anticipated to visit African nations.
Major stops on the tour’s itinerary are scheduled for December 20 in Nairobi, December 24 in Lagos, and December 27 in Côte d’Ivoire. Following over a year spent playing, recording, and promoting his music internationally, the gigs mark his eagerly awaited return to Nigeria, where he hasn’t performed in a while.
The unveiling of the tour follows the singer’s quiet yet powerful 2025 music run. Two of his solo singles, Why Love and Badman Gangsta, featuring French musician Tiakola, have already taken over African streaming services. In addition to his solo work, he has contributed to a number of noteworthy collaborations, such as 99 with Olamide, Gold with UK rapper J Hus, Che Che with Young Jonn, and Satisfaction with American rapper Gunna.
Asake has been hinting at a new project, his upcoming album Mr. Money, all year long, which has increased fans’ interest even more. Although the album’s release date is still unknown, it is anticipated to happen shortly, giving his December tour even more impetus.
