Beyoncé Coachella Special Teased By Netflix

Fans are expecting a Beyoncé documentary to hit Netflix, after the streaming service tweeted a cryptic poster on Sunday.

The teaser image featured a block yellow background, and the word “Homecoming”, written in a Greek-style font.

Beyoncé fans, or the “Beyhive” as they are collectively known, were quick to attach their idol to the coded project.

People have noticed that the font and colour scheme of the Netflix poster closely resemble those used for the merchandise from Beyoncé’s Coachella set.

Huffpost have also pointed out that the title, “Homecoming”, could allude to Beyoncé Homecoming Scholars Award Program, an initiative that provides scholarships to students at Historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs).

The timing of the release has also aroused interest: due to come out on April 17, the documentary would premiere just after this year’s first Coachella weekend. Last year, Beyoncé performed her set, which featured her husband Jay Z, sister Solange, and former band mates from Destiny’s Child, on April 14 and 21.

US Weekly magazine reported that the Netflix special would focus on Beyoncé’s 2018 Coachella performance, including additional footage.
