Nigerian rapper and composer, Blaqbonez has formally revealed a new release date for his much-awaited album, No Excuses.
Originally slated for release on August 22, 2025, the 16-track project will now take place on Thursday, October 17, 2025.
The Go Home singer explained that the delay was required to make sure the album fulfilled his artistic standards in a recent social media video. “I didn’t finish it on time, that’s the truth,” he had earlier admitted to supporters on X (now Twitter) that he needed additional time to finish the project. I have refused to take any short cuts because I want to release the greatest record ever.
On the day the album was initially delayed, Blaqbonez released a track called Everlasting Taker to keep fans interested as they awaited the new release date. The song was one of several pre-released singles that have raised expectation for the future, including Louder, W for WETEGO starring Young Jonn, Phyno, and DJ 808, and Go Crazy.
The album’s popularity has also been boosted by ‘Follow Her, another fan favourite featuring afrobeats star Kizz Daniel.
The rapper, who is well-known for his witty banter and audacious demeanour, is prepared to release what he calls his “best work yet” with No Excuses, which is scheduled for release on October 17. The forthcoming project comes after his critically praised albums Young Preacher (2022), Emeka Must Shine (2023), and Sex Over Love (2021), which cemented his status as one of Nigeria’s most innovative hip-hop artists.
As excitement grows, fans are eager to see how Blaqbonez will continue to reinvent his sound and demonstrate why he refers to himself as the “Best Rapper in Africa.”
