“The world could only be a better place for all, if individuals try hard to brighten the corner in which they find themselves, by starting what I call individual social responsibility,” Amos Ekow Coffie.
Lance Corporal Ekpeagba Simon Agbeko, a Police officer with the Accra Regional Police Command, has donated some pair of crutches to physically challenged persons on the street of Accra on Friday, as one of his endeavours to help the needy in the society.
It could be noticed that, about 60% of physically challenged persons in Ghana, are unable to move from one point to the other due to the inability to afford crutches. Most of these people are mostly found sitting along principal streets and major highways begging for alms as they are being shunned by their relatives.
Simon Agbeko, for this reason, decided to contribute his quota to the development of the nation by helping to change the world in donating even from his little corner.
He is however using this opportunity, to call on other individuals who can afford, to also come out in their numbers to help change the narrative by assisting in making sure the poor and the needy are not left out in the socio-economic activities in the society.
According to Lance Corporal Simon, His dream is to be able to revamp society, by establishing what he calls a Care Home, where people with disability would be taken care of and educated.
