‘’Fame Makes One Arrogant’’ – Rev. Lord Kenya

Former Ghanaian hiplife artiste and rapper, now a minister of God, Lord Kenya has revealed that, stardom knocked at his doorstep unexpectedly, leaving him in a dilemma, as he was unsuccessful in effectively dealing with his state of being well-known, much spoken about and favorable public reputation during his prime time as an artiste.

The former rapper admitted that, he didn’t have prior knowledge and wasn’t cognizant of being a public favorite entertainment personality. The rapper revealed that, he just wanted the spot light and the concentration should be on him, excluding others, being ignorant of the fact that consequences attached to stardom were overwhelming.

The Reverend Minister, speaking in an interview with celebrate entertainment show host, Andy Dosty on an Accra based Hitz 103.9 Fm’s morning show tagged ‘Daybreak Hitz’, revealed that, during his hay day in the showbiz fraternity, he was only adamant in possessing the much needed attention, even though he didn’t know what it was, adding that, his content of cognition about fame was, enjoying freebies and having some VIP treats.

Reverend Lord Kenya also revealed that, his state of being abnormally tolerant and strong crave for elicit drugs and his involvement with some bad friends were some of the regrettable acts he committed amidst his primetime in music, stating that, his extreme arrogance was under the influence of the high usage of elicit drugs.

He revealed that, the friends he was surrounded with, were just ‘cupboard’ friends who were just interested in looting his hard earned resources and what he was giving out, due to the generous way of living he’s been noted for, indicating that, most of them were trying to take an advantage of him to prosper in life.

However, Reverend Lord Kenya urged the young folks to be cautious of the caliber of friends they employ in their life, as he’s being faced with such catastrophic and tribulation of life and now serving as a stepping for them to walk on.

In reaction to Rev. Lord kenya’s admission that fames sometimes makes one arrogant, artiste manager, Mr. Kwesi Ernest with his maximum years of experience he’s developed with gospel musicians believes, there is virtually no difference between the behaviors of gospel and secular artistes when they become the public’s favorite eye.

According to Mr. Kwesi Ernest, when he works coherently with them he begin to quiz, as their exciting lifestyle are inseparable from the secular entertainment industry players.
