Focus On Building An Educational System That Provides Skills And Not Rastas – Vim Lady Tells Leaders

Award winning media personality and celebrated female broacaster, Afia Pokuaa popularly known in the media space as Vim lady agrees with Minister for Education, Dr. Adutwum for saying that Ghanaians are discussing hairstyle of students while citizens in other countries are going to Mars.

Dr Adutwum had earlier opined that while citizens in other countries are going to Mars, citizens in the country are wasting their time discussing hairstyle of a student.

His comment comes days after Headmistress of Achimota Senior High denied two Rastafarian students admission on grounds of their dreadlocks, leading to a heated debates and public backlashes.

Reacting to the Minister’s comment in a Facebook post, Vim Lady charged citizens to forget about hairstyle of students as it doesn’t add value to knowledge.

She says the citizens should focus on building a proper educational system that can provide skills and transformational thinking to change the country from a 3rd class economy to 1st.

” I agree with the hon. minister paa. We should forget about this hair issue ( that doesn’t add any value to knowledge) and focus on the important business of building a proper education system that can provide the SKILLS and TRANSFORMATIONAL THINKING to change this nation from a 3rd world to 1st World” She wrote on Facebook.
