Ahead of the commencement of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League second round, Asante Kotoko sold out an outstanding performance by beating Gold Coast Football Academy in the club’s second mid-season encounter in Kumasi on Wednesday morning.
The game was balanced in the early minute of the game as both sides tried to find their rhythm. Kotoko had more possession of the ball but few chances were created with their dominance.
Naby Keita who was on target last weekend against Ebony FC fetched the opening goal in the game on the 9th-minute before Evans Adomako added the second and his first goal for the club in 2021 after returning from his injury to end the first half.
Asante Kotoko new team dominated the entire second half with some scintillating football in the morning.
Brazilian import, Fabio Gama, on the 76th-minutes gave the Reds a comfortable lead after a brilliant individual effort to score his first unofficial goal for the Porcupines before new signing Francis Andy Kumi who was making his debut for the club scored the fourth in the 87th-minute.
An amazing team effort resulted in a goal for new signing Sarfo Taylor who netted his second goal in his second game for the club in the 90th-minute to give the Reds 5-1 victory.
