Ghana Joins The World To Celebrate “World Bipolar Day” ‪On March 30th‬ With An Awareness Event And Campaign; Check Out The Details.

Abena Korkor Addo’s Psychosocial Africa partners with International organizations to create awareness of bipolar disorder ‪on the 30th‬ ‪day of March 2019‬ at the Accra Mall Food Court as the world celebrates Bipolar Day Internationally.

As the world commemorates and sheds light on people living with bipolar disorder on Saturday under the theme ”Creating an Alliance of Awareness”, locally, Mental Health Society of Ghana, (MEHSOG), Time to Change Global and Psychosocial Africa will also merge resources to hold an event at the Accra Mall Food Court ‪at 12pm‬ on the day.

The event will seek to create awareness and some deep education about the condition while the advocacy groups open up to welcome and support more people who are living with the condition.

The three organizations who are pooling resources to put together the event vary in functions, though they aim at the same solution – supporting, dealing with stigmatization and discrimination of people with the condition.

Mental Health Society of Ghana, (MEHSOG) supports mental health patients while Time to Change Global is an anti-stigma and anti-discrimination campaign originated from the UK and Psychosocial Africa is a mental health advocacy and support group.
