Comic rapper, known by his stage name as AY Poyoo has promised his fans and Ghanaians that he would be bringing a Grammy award into the country soon.
The rapper was answering a question by celebrated host, Abeiku Santana on UTV’s ‘United Showbiz’ as to whether his style of music is sustainable or not.
Ghanaians had earlier backlashed and mocked their A list artistes, Shatta Wale, Sarkodie and Stonebwoy particularly after Nigerian superstar acts, Burna Boy and Wizkid won Grammy awards.
According to him on the country’s biggest and most watched entertainment show, Grammys is all about originality.
The ‘Goat’ hitmaker believes that he himself and his style of music are original.
”Do you know that is a year now since I met you? 5th June would be a year since I met you and this town is international. We are bringing the Grammys to Ghana, Oh Yeah cos Grammys is all about originality”
