In addition to discussing the global political and economic situation, Jaden Smith now wants to discuss fashion. The American rapper and actor has been appointed as Christian Louboutin’s first-ever Men’s Creative Director, a recent development for the upscale French fashion label. This is the first time a creative position with a public face for the brand’s menswear line has been held by someone other than the founder.
In January, Smith—who plans to relocate to Paris—will present his debut collection for the company. The entire seasonal collection is anticipated for Fall/Winter 2026, although his debut will be a “avant-premiere” drop that will be sold online and in a few boutiques.
Christian Louboutin told WWD, “I see in him a person of passion, someone who is open to creating and who wants to create, not to make a profit. That is something I have been missing. So, the question is, what can we do together that is both creative and interesting for our world?”
