Beneath The BoTree in Marylebone, a new power in London nightlife is revealed. 77 is a small, well-equipped space that is intended to provide a true dance floor connection and profound aural immersion. Its audacious opening statement takes the shape of a historic launch weekend featuring two legends who epitomise the spirit of invention in UK sound and electronic music.
Kerri Chandler, a New Jersey deep house pioneer whose punchy, soulful tunes have defined the genre for decades, kicks off the journey on Friday, September 26. DJ Daisybelle, who was born in Puerto Rico, joins him. She is well-known for her groove-heavy sets that seamlessly combine disco, funk, Latin, Balearic, and house music.
Grime pioneer, Boy Better Know co-founder, and Más Tiempo CEO Skepta will be behind the decks on Saturday, September 27th, for a diverse house and garage-driven set that embodies the spirit of UK club culture. Tech-house artist Meeshy and avant-garde London producer OSSIE, whose innovative compositions have appeared on Hyperdub, Brownswood, and other significant labels, are behind him.
With its debut weekend, 77 ushers in a daring new age of partying in the capital, one that is based on connection, music, and a dedication to influencing the nightlife of the future.
