Reggae star Koffee is back with her new single, “Pull Up”, as well as news on her long-awaited debut album.
Koffee’s forthcoming album, Gifted—due March 25—will include the previously released singles “West Indies” and “Lockdown”, as well as “Pull Up”. Also gearing up for a North American tour, it comes off the back of her high-profile appearances at Coachella and all of the major festivals in the UK last summer.
“Pull Up” was produced by UK beatsmitth JEA5, whose knack for blurring the lines between Afrobeats, dancehall and rap complements Koffee’s performance perfectly, as her contagiously feel-good delivery lets us know that the party’s bound to be lit when she pulls up.
The accompanying visuals, directed by KC Locke, show the Jamaican artist performing the song in a number of remote locations, with a batch of expensive-looking cars taking the backdrop.
