Ghanaian born singer, songwriter and fashionista, Andrew Paul Nii Amu Darko known for his unmatched musicianship as the Darko Vibes has formerly announced his intention to release his debut studio music album.
Titled “Kpalongo”, the release of the active La Meme Gang member’s collection of audio recordings is slated to occur in November 2019, just weeks after releasing Mike Tyson and will be available on all digital music platforms. The announcement was made via his social media handle, Instagram.
Kpanlogo is a recreational dance and music form originating from the 1960s among urban youth in Accra, Ghana. The professional studio project is supposed to be a nod to his experiences growing up, and probably recognition of the environment and movement that shaped his earlier influences.
Seemingly unconstrained by conventional definitions of genres, Darkovibes’ colourful personality seeps through his songs as he creates a harmony of different sounds borrowing aspects of trap, drill and local beats.
Expectations are high, as fans are hoping that a lot more hits dominated by Ga and pidgin (similar to ‘Tomorrow’ and ‘Stay Woke’) will make their way onto the album. Though very little is known, the project is expected to have a dozen songs and will feature top recording and performing artistes.
