The official soundtrack for Visual Concepts’ NBA 2K23 has been unveiled ahead of the game’s official retail release scheduled for September 9, 2022.
The soundtrack for this year’s edition will initially feature 36 songs, including CKay, Joe Boy and Kuami Eugene‘s colossal hit “love nwantiti (ah ah ah) [Remix]”. It will also have songs from the likes of Drake, Jack Harlow, Megan Thee Stallion, Doja Cat, 21 Savage, Masked Wolf, Polo G, Lil Baby, one of Cole’s Dreamville artists, JID, and many more; three new tracks are slated to drop every Friday.
“Love Nwantiti” was released in 2019 as the second track from CKay’s second extended play “Ckay the First”.
The remix titled “Love Nwantiti (Ah Ah Ah)” featuring Nigerian singer Joeboy and Ghanaian singer Kuami Eugene, was released as a single in 2020, and became a commercial success in Nigeria, Middle East, North Africa and in many European club venues, as well as the subject of collaborations with few local artists for localised variations.

Meanwhile, J. Cole has been announced as the game’s cover. The Grammy award-winning musician and fellow Dreamville members Elite and Bas will be characters in this year’s MyCareer storyline. This year’s story begins after the NBA Draft and tasks players with balancing their NBA performance with off-the-court endeavors like music, fashion and business exploits.
