Mavin Records partner Creative Industries Initiative For Africa for Free & Virtual Bootcamp Series

Talent management company Mavin Record has partnered with Creative Industries Initiative For Africa (CIIFA) for this year’s edition of its CIIFA Free & Virtual Bootcamp Series. Interested applicants can register here.

The collaboration will offer regionally specific professional training to prospective creative businesses all throughout the continent. The Nigeria-based record label will be a facilitator for the CIIFA Recording Industry Bootcamp from May 12th to May 14th from 3 pm to 5 pm, to provide resource persons to speak on “Introduction to the Recording Industry,” “How the Recording Industry Works,” “Job Opportunities in the Recording Industry,” and more.

Creative Industries Initiatives For Africa (C.I.I.F.A) is a resource development platform and company focused on the creative industries. The platform is behind notable music and creative business bootcamps and seminars, including the annual The Music Business Academy for Africa conference.

Established in 2012, Mavin Records delivers 360-degree label services as well as management, publishing, sync, production, and strategic partnerships, with high-profile collaborations in fashion, sport, design, live events, and cross-platform digital content. The label currently boasts an illustrious roster that includes Johnny Drille, Bayanni, Ayra Starr, Boy Spyce, Crayon, Ladipoe, Rema, and Magixx. Former artists from the label include Tiwa Savage, Korede Belo, Wande Coal, Reekado Banks, and Iyanya.

Meanwhile, Creative Industries Initiative For Africa has announced the 2023 Music Business Academy (MBA) for Africa conference, which is slated to commence on July 8. Interested participants can apply here.

The seven-module training program initiative, which will commence on July 8 and continue through October 29, will feature a variety of symposiums to discuss topics such as introduction to the music business in Africa, industries of the music business, management and A&R/music development, music production 101, intellectual property and contracts, branding and marketing in the music business, and events and touring in Africa.
