Music critic cum dancehall act, Mr Logic has appealed to the Ghana Police Service To allow public figures use licenced guns to protect themselves.
Mr Logic was reacting to the murder of slained gym instructor. He believes the deceased wouldn’t have died if he had had a gun with him.
Speaking on Hitz FM’s ‘DaybreakHitz’, he explained that they should be allowed to use guns to protect themselves as they have a lot of enemies and competitors who can attack them at any point in time.
”Most importantly, Charlie Andy, we all need to, the Police need to give us the chance, some of the chance who are known in public the chance to be able to hold firearms, licenced firearms. Somebody like Andy Dosty, you don’t know your enemy, you don’t known who is planning to harm you Andy, you don’t know who is planning to harm you. If Little had a gun that day, that puum puum puuum, you just stay in your room, you don’t come out. You just wait for them to come inside. This is why we need guns to protect ourselves. I’m asking the Police to allow public figures own a gun, a licensed gun for protection”
he explained.
He further held the view that not all citizens should be allowed to own guns as some might use them for robbery purposes.
