“MUSIGA Needs Rehabilitation” – Artiste Manager, George Britton

Artiste Manager, Mr. George Mensah Britton illustriously known as George Britton, has stated that, the umbrella group that unites all musicians in Ghana irrespective of life music genre, Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) needs to be restructured.

According to the artiste manager, the association responsible for the welfare of all certified and registered Ghanaian performing acts under the organization has limited it services to a notable community array of artiste within the country’s entertainment ecosystem.

Mr. George Britton revealed that, musicians union of Ghana needs to avail itself to all artistes who has been registered under the organisation, thus, educating them on the basic requirement needed as an artiste, education on how to be abreast with some musical intruments, and organizing workshops for them.

Chief Executive Officer of GB Interactive, Mr. George Mensah Britton made this revealations as a guest to host, William Asiedu on the “Pundits” Tv show on EIB Network’s GHOne Tv.

According to him, the umbrella organization that unites all musicians in Ghana irrespective of life music genre, Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) needs to work together formally to co-ordinate activities or pool resources for the smooth running of music in the country.

He also revealed that, the umbrella organization needs to provide funding and often an identity to the smaller organizations, adding that, to some degree, association should be responsible for the groups or artistes under its care.

Artiste Manager, George Britton reiterated that, the Musicians Union of Ghana(MUSIGA) recquires management that will foresee the basic needs of their certified or registered artiste artiste in the country’s music climate.
