”My Parents Asked Me For A Grammy And I Have Given Them One” – Burna Boy Says As He Flaunts His Award

Grammy Award- winning act and Nigerian International Afrobeats singer, better known by his stage name as Burna Boy has revealed that he has delivered to his parents, Grammy Award they asked him for.

The African giant noted whiles flaunting his ‘Best Global Music Album’ Grammy Award in an Instagram post.

The singer won his first ever Grammys last year with his masterpiece and well crafted ‘Twice As Tall’ Album after being nominated back to back.

‘Twice As Tall’ , the singer’s Fifth studio project released on the 12th of August 2020 had big and internationally recognized tunes including ‘Wonderful’, ‘Monsters You Made’, ‘Level Up’, ‘Alarm Clock’, ‘Way Too Big’ ETC.

Flaunting his prestigious award in the Instagram post, he noted that his parents prayed for excellent children and not cars and houses.

According to him, just like his Grammy Award, his sisters delivered to their parents, the stellar degrees they asked them for.

Thanking God in his post, the ‘On The Low’ hitmaker held the view that he is a product of sacrifice.

” Early Morning deliveries from across the pond!
My parents prayed for excellent children, not houses, cars or “things”. They asked my sisters for stellar degrees; one got a first class in Finance, the other got a Distinction in Engineering. They asked me for a Grammy, and here we are. I am a product of sacrifice! Thank God and thank you all again”

he wrote.
