My Way Of Making Music Is Unique In Its Truest Form- Kofi Kinaata

Kofi Kinaata Replies “Haters” Who Say His Songs Are One Way

Takoradi-born music superstar Martin King Arthur well known in the creative art industry as Kofi Kinaata has finally replied to a section of Ghanaians especially those in the Western Region who feel his songs are becoming one way.

On 15 April 2021, the 3 times Best Songwriter of the Year winner at Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) released a song titled “Thy Grace” as part of his 31st birthday celebration.

A few hours after the song was released, Sam Porsh, a Takoradi resident who has criticized the artist for years for becoming “one way” posted; “Eeii ntsi still one way naaa? Asem ooh Kofi, e hard ooh, versatile am small err”.

Meanwhile, some fans are of the belief that if the ‘one-way’ style of music is winning him awards on big stages, playing the big shows, and getting the recognition most musicians are craving for, it is not necessary to change his style of music.

The General Manager for Focus 1 Media, the operators of Spice FM, Beach FM, Pluzz FM, and Orange FM in Kumasi vouched for Kofi by saying ” If he succeeds with his one way, that’s all that matters, “.

Takoradi-born UK-based soldier also posted on his socials saying “Lol. The “oneway” is bagging the cash and awards dude.”

Kofi Kinaata yesterday, 16th April 2021, in an exclusive interview with Yoofi Eyeson of Spice 91.9 FM in Takoradi spoke on why he released “Thy Grace” and tackled the main issue of being a one-way musician.
