Ghanaian celebrated DJ, Andrew Amoh, who presents as Andy Dosty has revealed that, the untimely presence of the fast rising artistes has elevated the face of Ghana’s entertainment industry, as they produce good contents that are being played on rotation on various media networks.
The hiplife musician indicated that, foreign content, precisely Nigerian music at a point in time was dominating in the Ghanaian entertainment setting, which became a canker in promoting the indigenous Ghanaian talents.
According to him, Ghanaian music promoters and DJs were keen on giving Nigerians the mileage, adding that, they DJs were mustard to air Nigerian songs until the new crop of artistes came.
The awards winning DJ revealed that, the young musicians are undoubtedly doing their best, as their overwhelming products are hitches for their competitors to penetrate through the Ghanaian market.
Speaking as a guest to DJ Candyman on Atinka 104.7 Fm’s Drive time show dub ‘Drive Talk’ on the Friday, the “Never Give Up” hitmaker revealed categorically that, the new crop of artistes including Kuami Eugene, Kidi, King Promise, Adina have redeemed Ghana’s music industry from this uncertainty with their outstanding talent.
The “Daybreak Hitz” morning show host added that, the new crop of artistes shot to the limelight and took over the waves during an era when the Ghana music industry was going down the drain following infiltration of songs by Nigerian artistes.
Andy Dosty stated that, its encouraging and great to hear people play songs of these new artistes, expressing his joy that, the status quo has finally changed because songs from the young sensational artistes have flooded the airwaves.
