Dwoods Productions, a US-based record label has officially signed and unveiled a budding musical sensation, Offei during a ceremony at Drip Lounge,Osu in Accra.
The event kicked off with a live performance from the young musician who thrilled patrons with his vocal dexterity and composed live performances.
Offei spoke to livefmghana.com after the signing, He mentioned that even though he has signed the contract he was still amazed at what God is doing in his life.
“I’m so elated that I’m filled with tears of joy. I feel so blessed and humbled to be part of such a wonderful family.”
Offei said Dwoods had come at a very crucial moment in his career when all hope was almost lost. “Most of my colleagues here would know what I am talking about,I do not want to bother you with the details, it has not been easy at all. But God being so good we’re here now.”
Mr Andrew Agyemang Woods, Chief Executive Officer of the Washington, DC based label stated that it was something unique they saw in the young lad that motivated them to bring him on board.
“Aside him having a very soothing voice and commercial vibe, Offei has a tight grip on live performances, it’s unlike anything I’ve seen in an up and coming artiste.”
He added that his team’s aim is to carve a solid brand for Ghana in the current Afrobeats craze engulfing the world.
“We want the world to know about our culture, what Ghana has got when it comes to Afro beats and get our up and coming ones across to the other side.”
Notable guests that were present at the occasion were Kwesi Arthur and his Ground Up Chaley crew, Mr Kelvin Fiifi Ampah,CEO of Ibem Ghana and partner to Dwoods Productions; Derek Amoaful, Producer , Prince Yeboah, artiste manager and Quame Duke Amihere, Offei’s PR and Brands manager all of Dwoods Productions.
