Premiere Of “Pae Mu Ka” Documentary Suspended.

Multiple awards winning and celebrated Ghanaian rap performing and recording artiste, Michael Elliot Kwabena Okyere Darko popularly known as Obrafour, (Executioner) has temporarily and officially called off the premiere of his much awaited documentary dubbed “Pae Mu Ka at Twenty (20)”.

According to a joint news release signed by the organizers and management of KRI8 Concept Entertainment, and Execution Limited, the event which was scheduled for September 27, 2019 at the Silverbird Cinemas, to honor the legendary rapper, with an unanimous decision taken, was suspended to ensure that some inconsistencies collected accounts are reconciled.

Earlier, Legendary Ghanaian musician, Obrafuor, was set to premier the much awaited Pae Mu Ka, a documentary telling the his 20 year story in the Ghana Music Industry at the Silverbird Cinemas as part of activities to mark this year’s Social Media Week activities in Accra.

The documentary throws light primarily on Obrafour’s first album – Pae Mu Ka and on the key happenings in the industry since Obrafuor seminal entry into the Ghana Music Industry.

Ekow Thompson, the Executive Director of Interactive Digital, organising partners of the SMW Accra said, the partnership with Obrafuor and the premiering of the Pae Mu Ka Documentary is directly in line with the global theme of SMW – STORIES: With Great Influence, Comes Great Responsibility.

Today storytelling is changing and technological innovation has proven to be an enabler of the change in storytelling. Social media today is the world’s most influential storytelling platform. Whatever form they take, the stories we tell through social media have the power to reach and influence more than 60% of people on the planet.

However, in the news release, the organizers and the management have outlined other planned activities including the Hiplife symposium, Cypher, Back-to-Taifa, concert and the main headlined PAE MU KA scheduled for November 9, 2019, commemorate the significance milestone, the release of Obrafour’s maiden album, Pae Mu Ka, will proceed uninterrupted.

The organizers and management of KRI8 Concept Limited, Execution Entertainment, and Rapper Obrafour extended their sincerer apology to patrons and fans for any inconvenience caused, as any related development will be communicated in due time.
