President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on today Wednesday 31st March 2021 presented forty ( 40) Cobra II Armoured Personnel carriers to the Ghana Armed Forces.
This according to the President will help the Armed Forces to to help contain even better the threats posed on the country’s Northern borders as well as provide the necessary protection for it’s western and eastern frontiers.
The Head of State also launched the New Funding III of the Global Fund Model.
The 804 million grant, between 2021- 2023 according to President Akufo-Addo in a Facebook post will accelerate progress towards the realization of the seventeen ( 17) Sustainable Development Goals, achieve lower morbidity mortality in malaria, HIV and TB as well as strengthen the country’s entire health system.
Mr Akufo-Addo after presenting the forty Cobra II Armoured Personnel carriers to the Forces wrote in a social media post;
” On Wednesday 3st of March 2021, I presented forty ( 40) Cobra II Armoured Personnel carriers to the Ghana Armed Forces, which will help us contain even better the security threats posed on our Northern borders, as well as provide the necessary protection for our western and eastern frontiers”.
