“Buckingham Palace confirm that The Queen has today tested positive for Covid,” a statement released on Sunday morning read. “Her Majesty is experiencing mild cold-like symptoms but expects to continue light duties at Windsor over the coming week.”

The palace said that the queen, who has been fully vaccinated and had a booster shot, “will continue to receive medical attention and will follow all the appropriate guidelines.”

Queen Elizabeth, 95, had recently been in contact with her eldest son Prince Charles, who tested positive for the virus earlier this month. According to PEOPLE, the Prince of Wales visited his mother on Feb. 8, two days before he received his diagnosis.

“This morning The Prince of Wales has tested positive for COVID-19 and is now self-isolating,” a message on Charles’ official Twitter account read. “HRH is deeply disappointed not to be able to attend today’s events in Winchester and will look to reschedule his visit as soon as possible.”
