Wizkid Celebrates 10 Year Anniversary Of His ‘Superstar’ The Album

Nigerian Afrobeats singer cum songwriter, born Ibrahim Balogun Ayo known by his stage name as Wizkid is on today 12th June 2021 celebrating 10th year Anniversary of his debut studio album ‘Superstar’.

The singer’s album released on the 12th of June 2011 was recorded under Empire Mates Entertainment [EME].

‘Superstar’ album’s production was handled by Samklef, E Kelly, Jay Sleek, Shizzi, DJ Klem, Masterkraft, Q Beats, Banky W and Veebee. It featured collaborations with artistes such as Wande Coal, D Prince, Banky W, and Skales.

The singer earlier released singles ‘Holl At Your Boy’, ‘Tease Me’, ‘Don’t Dull’, ‘Love My Baby’, Pakuroma’ and ‘Oluwa Ni’ off his studio project.

In an interview with Factory 78 TV, Wizkid revealed that he was supposed to release the album on Valentine’s Day but postponed it following a London Gig.

Meanwhile, the singer’s album was the best selling album, selling over 5 million copies in 2011- 12.
