Wizkid Wins Second NAACP Image Award

Nigerian music star, Wizkid, has won his second NAACP Image Award. He grabbed the award which was announced via a tweet by the show organizers on March 26, 2021, for his feature on Brown Skin Girl alongside Beyonce, Saint JHN, and Blue-Ivy Carter.

Just some days ago at the Grammy Awards, the songwriter and other artists that were featured in the song were announced as the winners of the “Outstanding Music Video/Visual Album” of the year category for, Brown Skin Girl. Although, the contribution of one of the most decorated Nigerian artiste was a collaborative effort from the talented artist on the same project.

Apart from Beyonce’s Brown Skin Girl,  “I Can’t Breathe” – H.E.R., “Anything For You” – Ledisi, “Do It” – Chloe x Halle were also listed on the nominee list.

Going memory lane, Wizkid and Beyonce had previously won the award for the “Outstanding duo/Group of collaboration” at the 2020 edition of the NAACP Image Awards.
