AfroNation Day 1- A West- African, South African and US Link Up

AfroNation Ghana- It has been three years since the first of its kind was held in Ghana under the ‘Year of Return‘ initiative and fans of AfroNation could not wait to be a part of the momentous occasion this year.

The stellar lineup of artists from various continents became the highlights in the minds of people as it rose their expectations to a whole new level. Certainly, Thursday, 29th December 2022 is a day to remember on the ‘December In Ghana’ calendar because the biggest afrobeats festival in Ghana and the world at large met the expectations of hip/ hop and afrobeats fans. The fascinating thing is that, this was just day 1.

December In Ghana

Ghana for some years now has been that country one would love to spend their Christmas holidays, thus most people from the diaspora travel from far and wide to enjoy ‘December in Ghana’. Most of them spend time going to tourist sites, night and day parties, enjoying the rich African fashion and cuisine, etc. Afronation Ghana adds the icing on the cake because it was founded to unite the diaspora to celebrate black joy and the black culture with good music, dance, food and more. The festival brings together the best artists in Afrobeats, Amapiano, Hip hop, R&b, Dancehall and more, with world-class live performances and DJ sets over the two days.

AfroNation Artists LineUp Day 1

An impressive lineup of today’s hottest artists, included Ghana’s song bird and highlife rockstar, Gyakie and Kuami Eugene. Our musical neighbours from Nigeria in the persons of C-Kay, Oxlade, queen of afrobeats Tiwa Savage and the best duo to have come out of Africa P-Square. From down south, SA we had Kamo Mphela and from Philadelphia, USA, Meek Mill. This was Mick Mill’s first time on the African soil and it was as a result of Afronation Ghana.

AfroNatives bopped to the songs sung by all the artists that graced the AfroNation stage. The artists understood their assignments as they dazzled fans with their back to back hit songs. There were also notable moments from the fire live DJ sets.
