The Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) has informed all residents in its jurisdiction that from Monday 15th May to Thursday 15th June 2023, there is a ban on noise making.

The AMA has said they have set guidelines in the interest of peace, harmony and national security.

Some of the restrictions are during the period no church should carry out their activities out of their premises and refrain from the use of musical instruments.

Apart from an identifiable task force that consists of AMA personnel, the Ghana police Service and Representatives from the Traditional Councils with tags, no other person or group of persons should be seen or found enforcing the abatement of noise in the metropolis.
