Akuapem Poloo Jailed Three Months

Ghanaian actress and video vixen, Akuapem Poloo has on today 16th April 2021 been jailed three months ( 90 days) by an Accra Circuit Court presided over by Her Honour Christine.

Akuapem Poloo had earlier on Wednesday been convicted by the Court by pleading to three charges against her on her own plea.

The actress was charged with the publication of nude pictures with her minor seven year old son on his birthday. She changed her not guilty plea to guilty before her conviction.

The Court had earlier deferred her sentencing to today Friday 16th, April 2021 for her to undergo a pregnancy test to ensure she was not pregnant before her sentencing.

Before her sentencing was announced, the presiding Judge confirmed that she was not pregnancy after her pregnancy test as result came out negative.

Meanwhile, law professor at the University of Florida, Kwaku Azar and Vice President of Policy Tink Tank, IMANI AFRICA, Kofi Bentil have reacted to the actress’s sentencing, expressing their disappointments.

ABOUT AKUAPEM POLOO’S SENTENCING

Akuapem Poloo had earlier been convicted and remanded after pleading guilty of charges that were levelled against her.

The actress later in 2020 celebrating her son’s 7th birthday posted a nude picture of herself, holding his hand on social media.

Her actions raised controversies and heated arguments, with some citizens and social media users calling for her arrest and prosecution.

After her conviction and remand, popular celebrities including Sarkodie, Franklin Cudjoe, Kwaku Azar, AK songstress, Kofi Bentil and A Plus, reacted, calling for her release.
