Former Multimedia worker now freelance investigative journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni has excluded name of President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo from list of Presidents who have promoted free speech under their Governments.
The investigative journalist had earlier called on President Akufo-Addo to act over the country’s ongoing power outages as an unannounced power cut could be someone’s death sentence.

Manasseh listing the country’s leaders who have promoted free speech, named former Presidents, John Agyekum Kufuor, the late Atta Mills and John Dramani Mahama, saluting them in a Facebook post.
According to Mr Manasseh, the former Heads of State made social media handles such as Twitter, attractive to Ghanaians.
In his post which have raised controversies and heated arguments, he wrote;
“Kudos to JA Kufuor, Atta Mills, John Mahama and all who have promoted free speech and made us attractive to the likes of Twitter”
he wrote.
