Nigerian singer and songwriter, Ayra Starr, has shared a remake of her “Bloody Samaritan” single with some guest vocals from Kelly Rowland.
Sun-El Musician, a South African DJ and producer, flipped “Bloody Samaritan” earlier this year, transforming it into a dense and bassy club remix that blended West and South African influences. This new version, on the other hand, retains the original structure while elevating it with Rowland’s soaring vocal runs.
“I’ve always been a huge fan of Kelly Rowland and when this came up, I could barely keep in the excitement,” Ayra said in a statement. “While recording this, Kelly made me feel so comfortable and relaxed, something I really appreciate. She was super-amazing, and I was able to hold my own alongside a legend and I can’t wait to share this new music with you all.”
The new remix will be included alongside recent single “Rush” on a new deluxe edition of 19 & Dangerous, which is set to be released next Friday, October 14.
