Bits and pieces of information reaching this reporter indicate that one of Ghana’s most famous actors got married to his longtime girlfriend at a secret ceremony in Accra a few days ago. The actor Bismark Nii Odoi popularly known as Bismark the Joke is said to have created uproar in his family because his marriage was so secretly held that most of his family members did not even know about it.
The marriage ceremony according to a source close to Bismark was attended by some of his close associates and some selected family members.Though the actor has remained quiet over the marriage, he was reportedly spotted in town wearing an engagement ring. The story is still developing.
The light dark-skinned actor/comedian who has played major roles in countless movies told this reporter that his acting career does not pose any threat to his marriage, contrary to the perception of many people outside the showbiz terrain. “My wife is ok with it because she herself is in showbiz and she understands. If I take a role, sometimes I discuss it with her and she never complains.”
