Bubba Jenkins Advocates For MMA Discipline In Ghana.

GREATER ACCRA, GHANA (www.georgebritton.com) – Bubba Jenkins, Ghanaian-American mixed martial artist and former collegiate wrestler has pledged his unflinching solidarity to the Ghana Mix Martial Arts Federation to help elevate the activities of the sporting discipline in the country, and advocating for the MMA sport in which he has achieved many successes to ignite the passion for future MMA superstars to emerge from his home country Ghana

According to the Mix Martial Arts World Champion, the discipline on the African continent , precisely Ghana, is fast deteriorating and needs an urgent rehabilitation. Seeing the potential of MMA in Ghana, the goals of Jenkins are to get all the traditional and English boxers of the area trained and involved to compete nationally and internationally.

Bubba Jenksins made this revealation during a press interaction on his visit to Ghana at the De’lish Restaurant, East Legon. He added that, his mission is to help the discipline in Ghana gain the required popularity, and watch it grow, most of all on the side of rules and regulations and how to embed it in our curricular activities.

He revealed that, he will be teaching and training officials to be able to handle any type of MMA competitive event that comes their way, adding that, he might organize MMA across the country that enable the young talents develop primary knowledge on the discipline is carried out. With hopes of finding the best fighters to compete abroad, hence represent Ghana internationally.

He arrived in Ghana on Tuesday, November 26 at about 4:00pm. The reigning brave combat champion, who has traced his roots back to this Nation [Ghana], is set to visit and reconnect with his “Lost” Heritage.

Bubba Jenkins aka the “badman” trip to Ghana is sponsored by the Togbui Afede Foundation with support from world trade center travel services. Kaya Tours will facilitate his trip from Accra to the Cape Coast castle. His travel arrangements were also sorted by Anomaa Travel &Tours Agency, all these are proud Ghanaian brands putting the spot on Ghana.

His great grandparents were part of the slaves taken from Ghana, worked hard and bought themselves out of slavery to be “Free-Men” in America. His dad who was also a Christian missionary, came to live in Ghana; Nungua to be precise until his passing. It is due to these facts about his family history that’s why he is coming to Ghana. He wants to reconnect himself to the land where most of his family members have lived before.

Mr Jenkins is currently embarking on several activities which include, a courtesy call visit on the Nungua Mants3, The chief of the town where his father lived. He will also visit the Forts and Castle in Cape Coast to learn more about Slavery and what happened on this side [Africa].

His record as an MMA fighter is 14 wins,. 6 of his wins came by Knockout, 3 came by submission and 5 came by way of unanimous decision.
