Ghanaian business mogul Dr. Kofi Amoa-Abban the C.E.O of Rigworld International Limited; a world class institution that specializes in providing edge-cutting tuition in Oil and gas nets a nomination in the “Promising CEO Of The Year Category” for the Second Edition of Ghana Business Quality Awards.
The Tema born and a graduate of the University of Ghana who also holds a master’s degree from the Oslo University got nominated alongside Hon. Dr. Nii Kotei Dzani (Groupe Ideal), Emelia Adjei (Royal Crown Packaging), David Frempong Addo (Curist Group), Bright Owusu Amofah (Appolonia) and Rok Acheampong (Rokmer Pharma).
Rigworld International Limited which started off providing recruitment services to the burgeoning oil and gas industry in Ghana currently prepares experts and equip them for the job. Prior to that, Dr. Abban had served as a drill crew member with Atwood Hunter responsible for the TEAK1, TEAK 2, and Banda Wells.
Dr. Kofi Amoa-Albania over the years from 2016 till date is a proud recipient of both local and international awards such as; Ghana-UK Based Achievement Awards (GUBA), Ghana Shippers Awards 2017, Ghana Oil and Gas Awards (GOGA), EMY Awards, Tema Excellence Awards and the Gender and Development Initiative for Africa (GADIA) Awards 2018 among others.

The second edition of the Awards is set to recognise ten Ghanaian Regional Business Icons as the business pride of their native region, ten non-Ghanaian Business Icons as the business pride representing their various countries, ten Best Premium Quality Products and Services that have met the standards of quality, deserving of praise and commendation from consumers and the public in general to further explore the possibility of promoting Best Premium Quality Products and Business Services in Ghana.
As part of EFG’s policy to assist in the creation and mentorship of the youth nationwide, the regional business icons will be required to mentor the youth in entrepreneurship and job creation in their native regions.
