Camidoh’s single “SUGARCANE” remix has scored a number one placement on the Apple Music Nigeria Top 100 Chart. The song tops the music chart, displacing “Sungba” (remix) — the previous chart topper by new musical sensation, Asake featuring Grammy award winning artiste, Burna Boy.
He becomes the second Ghanaian artiste to score this remarkable success few weeks after Black Sherif broke into the chart with his commercial success, “Kwaku The Traveller”.
“SUGARCANE” remix with new collaborators Mayorkun, Darkoo, and King Promise comes nearly six months after publishing the original version, which featured Nigerian record producer Phantom – it has currently surpassed 30 million total plays across the major music streaming and discovery platforms.
This came after the record had made waves across the world: it peaked at No. 5 on the Shazam Global Afrobeats chart, No. 1 on the Top 100 Ghana on Apple Music, No. 1 on the Top 25 Accra on Apple Music, and No. 55 on the Daily Viral Songs Nieria on Spotify. It has also charted at No. 1 on notable local radio chart shows across the country. Its video has surpassed 1.2 million views on YouTube.
