Multiple awards winning Reggae/Dancehall recording and performing artist, Charles Nii-Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale, has revealed that, American singer, songwriter, and actress, Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter simply called, Beyoncé hosted him to work out on visual aspect of the “Already” music in USA.
According to the “Melissa” hit-maker, he shot his part of the video recently whiles he was on trip to the states recently. He revealed that, he worked on his version of the song in his studios here in Ghana, and then went to the States to shoot the video. Shatta Wale stated that American superstar, Beyonce‘s verse was sent to him with pointers as to what he should do on the song.
Dancehall king, Shatta Wale, cemented his bragging rights with a certified feature on Beyoncé’s album, The Lion King: The Gift. In a plethora of artistic features from talents across the continent, Shatta Wale was the only Ghanaian artiste to be featured on a song with the global music icon and wife of music’s first billionaire, Beyonce, titled, Already.
Meanwhile speaking in an interview with Tv host, Paul Adom Okyere on Metro (Metropolitan) Tv’s Good Evening Ghana show, the reggae & dancehall King, revealed that, it will be a misplaced priority congratulating Ghana’s most decorated musician, Sarkodie for winning the maiden category “Best International Flow” off the BET Hip Pops Awards.
BET Hip Hop Awards, a subsidiary annual awards show of Black Entertainment Tv (BET) Awards announced multiple awards winning Ghanaian born Hip Hop recording and performing artiste Michael Owusu Addo, professionally known for his musicianship as Sarkodie, as the Best International Flow artiste at the 2019 edition of the prestigious awards scheme.
According to Shatta Wale, it is unnecessary for him extol the Ghanaian rapper christened, Michael Owusu Addo enthusiastically for chalking such an enormous success in his career, explaining that, it’s a complete waste of time and congratulating him won’t increase his financial status, hence the reason he has been mute on the issue.
Shatta Wale is set to host the second edition of his annual Reign Concert slated for 19th October, 2019. This time around, there will be an album launch as well; After the Storm Album to the Reign Album, Dancehall act, announced that his upcoming album is very ready and has even gone ahead to mention the name of the album, “Wonder Boy Album”.
