Ghanaian award winning disc jockey Michael Mensah Ashley popularly known in the showbiz industry as DJ Ashmen was the official DJ for the third edition of the annual ‘Bliss on the Hills’ at Kwahu Abetifi in the Eastern Region of Ghana. The last Xmas edition of the event brought together thousands of fun-loving Ghanaian and foreigners to Abetifi Kwahu for a week long of music and other entertaining activities.
DJ Ashmen who is also the regular host of Serious Music Business (S.M.B) radio show on Accra based Zylofon 102.1 FM won many hearts as he treated thousands of revelers who trooped to the event grounds with a spellbound and electrifying mix of sizzling variety of tunes and these music fans couldn’t help but danced their hearts out to mind-blowing performance intermittently during the Hiplife and Afrobeat night of the ‘Bliss On The Hills’ which also featured Obrafuor, Bisa Kdei, Wendy Shay, Dada Hafco, VVIP, Praye and several locally based underground artistes.
DJ Ashmen also featured as one of the many disc jockeys at the opening of the newly built RockCity Night Club which is acclaimed the biggest Night Club in West Africa. When he touched the decks, first time patrons of the ultra-modern spacious night club, were up their feet as he dished out danceable authentic highlife tunes to the amusement of the many patrons.
At the Reggae and Dancehall Night of the ‘Bliss On The Hills’ Deejay Ashmen as usual was in his element, as he relentlessly brought his versatility to bare by dishing to thousands of reggae and dancehall fans with variety of reggae and dancehall tunes to whet their appetite prior to the performances of seasoned Ghanaian Reggae and Dancehall acts such as Ras Kuuku, Rudebowy Ranking, Jupitar, Samini, Stonebwoy and International reggae superstar Tarrus Riley.
Bliss On The Hills is an annual week long of entertaining activities which is an initiative of Hon. Bryan Acheampong, Member of parliament for Kwahu Abetifi, who believes that these events will not only create avenue for economic empowerment for the people of Kwahu and its environs but will establish a tourist platform for Ghanaians to exhibit their creative art skills, culture in various entertaining ways. Last December edition of the Bliss On The Hills week-long event was organized by Kwahu Republic which was founded by Hon. Bryan Acheampong with support from Media Excel, Event Factory and Azumah Nelson Promotions.
