DJ Black Coffee reveals Drake will retire after his collaborative album with Lil Baby

Drake and Baby, reportedly, have reunited for a full-length project, nearly five years after their first collaboration.

The Grammy-winning rappers first joined forces on “Yes Indeed,” a standout cut from Lil Baby’s 2018 debut album Harder Than Ever. Since then, the two have reunited on multiple fan-favorites like “Girls Want Girls,” DJ Khaled’s “Staying Alive,” “Wants and Needs,” and “Never Recover” with Gunna.

The news was revealed by South African DJ/producer, Black Coffee, during a recent spot on Podcast and Chill with MacG. Black Coffee, who received producer credits on Drizzy’s. He dropped the detail when recalling a conversation with Kevin “Coach K” Lee, co-founder of Lil Baby’s label home Quality Control. “He had said to me Lil Baby and Drake are making an album,” Black Coffee claimed, adding, “It’s possible that Drake is retiring.”

Meanwhile, Coach K and the rappers haven’t yet commented on the claims.

Per Complex, Drake ignited retirement rumors about a month later, when he revealed he was already considering his “graceful exit.”

“I feel like maybe we talked about this the other day—but I feel like I’m kind of introducing the concept in my mind of a graceful exit,” Drake told Lil Yachty on A Moody Conversation. “I’ll still be around to like, you know, work with people or do a show here or there, but I’m not going to like, force myself to compete. … So I guess that’s the one thing that I want for myself really badly.”
