Matt B, a Chicago-bred GRAMMY® contender from last year’s nomination season, recently hit the studio with Ugandan musical icon Eddy Kenzo in West Hollywood. A few days before recording a record together, the two singers met at an event in Los Angeles and wasted no time collaborating on a new record. There’s no word on when the track will be released, but Matt B has confirmed working on a special project set to release in 2022.
Earlier in the month, American artist Matt B linked up with Nigerian star Oxlade to shoot the music video for their unreleased track in Malibu, California. It appears that the artist, Matt B, who has revelled in success from Japan (landing two #1 albums on the iTunes R&B charts) and recently snagging #3 R&B album on iTunes and entering Top 40 with his latest R&B album ‘EDEN’ on Billboard! If we didn’t know better, we’d think he’s working on an Afrobeats/Afrofusion project.
Matt B is a Voting Member of the Recording Academy, is from Chicago, Illinois, and has worked on music with incredible musicians like American music superproducers like Bryan-Michael Cox (Mariah Carey, Mary J Blige, Toni Braxton, Usher) and Trickey Stewart (Beyoncé, Britney Spears, Justin Bieber, Rihanna).
