”Entertainment Critques Benefits From Lyrical Beefs” – Okyeame Kwame Reveals

Ghanaian born rapper, Kwame Nsiah-Apau, known by his stage name Okyeame Kwame has stated that, contrary to the perception a cross section of Ghanaians have about performing arts brand in Ghana’s entertainment industry, musicians don’t gain anything from the unhealthy feud that surfaces in the country’s music climate.

According to the awards winning rapper, entertainment critiques, media outlets, and bloggers gain a lot from any form of lyrical beef between musicians in Ghana, as it is use to promote their radio and television shows and their various online portals.

This comes at the back after a cross section of the Ghanaians had the assumption that musicians take advantage of any form of lyrical feuds they engage in to promote their music brands and tap in to other performing arts brand to expand their fanbase across the country to make distribution easy.

Speaking in an interview on Atinka fm, the Made In Ghana ambassador, stated that, the artistes involved don’t benefit from the friction created and are regarded as people lacking manners, explaining that, media outlets increase their audience chair when they highlights beefs between artistes thereby attracting sponsorships for their shows.

Rapper Okyeame Kwame, mentioned that, lyrical beefs enhances the face of the music industry, as it creates some level of amusement and entertains its patrons, explaining that, everyone in Ghana’s music industry benefits from the beefs created by the musician, expect the artiste involved.
