FEATURED! Kofi Stainlex Goes Candid, Talks About His Musical Journey

Boadi Management Services Ltd signed artist Kofi Stainlex has opened up about his musical journey.

According to him, he began his journey back in school as it has always been his dream to do music. Sitting in for an exclusive interview with GBafrica, Stainlex revealed that he chose to do highlife over Afrobeats because he wanted to create more than just music.

He explained that he wanted to create songs that don’t just top charts but also pay homage to his cultural roots and identity.

“ I chose highlife because I wanted to tell African stories. The melodies, rhythms and every beat, I wanted to create more than just music” he said.

The singer continued “I wanted to tell who I am and pay homage to my cultural roots and heritage”. Stainlex further noted that though he has faced challenges in his career, he is grateful for how the journey has been so far.

He hopes to evolve into an artist who addresses societal issues and connects deeply with his roots using his sound. “ The journey has been good so far. Though we have faced challenges, it’s all good”

Meanwhile, the singer has released his new single “Kwadonto”, alongside a nicely shot video directed by multi-talented videographer and director, Lens Gardna. The song explores betrayals and disappointments in relationships.
