Former National Science and Mathematics Quiz Contestant and Founder of NatureSTEM, Adomako Augustine Addo has highlighted the importance of studying Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Education and its impact on the environment.
According to him, “STEM can promote eco and environment sustainability” which has always been his belief, explaining that, he’s engaged in a lot of activities and campaigns to help primarily use Science and Technology to promote a better and sustainable environment.
Due to this crazy passion, Mr. Adomako Augustine founded NatureSTEM which has been one of his best initiatives for the society and the nation as a whole. NatureSTEM aims at promoting the study of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics as well as using this knowledge to enhance the field of environmental sustainability through ideas such as segregated recycling.
He revealed that, the study of NatureSTEM enhances awareness in the field of STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics). This is to enlighten the passion and build the interest of Science and Technology in our youth.
NatureSTEM was also created to use Science and Technology to promote environmental (eco) sustainability. Preserving and making the best out of the environment is another potential aim for NatureSTEM. For example, promoting the field of recycling with the use of Science and Technology.
There is a misconception that technology, science and industrialisation degrade the quality of the environment. With the activities and awareness created by NatureSTEM, the misconception is eradicated and people appreciate the efforts that Science and Technology are making to improve upon the environment.
Also with NatureSTEM, the full potential of the environment is put to good use with the least form of degradation. That is, the best is made out of the environment without causing excess harm to it.
