After finishing in the bottom three during the first round, King Faisal FC have made massive inclusions with the aim of getting their acts together in the final lap of the season.
Faisal ended the first round placed 16 on the league table with just 17 points out of 17 matches. Averaging a point per game, which depicts an awful performance.
Moreover, the Kumasi-based side had the worse defense during the first face of the current campaign conceding 27 goals.
With relegation threatening, the management has given the team a new look in the quest of surviving in the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League.
Although the number of signings may be enormous, when looked at closely King Faisal have got the right men to do the job during the second face.
Faisal have given their defense face lift and their new additions tell a no different story.
Signing Asante Kotoko and Ghana U-20 goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim who impressed during his last loan spell at Ghana Premier League side Berekum Chelsea seem the right choice.
Also, ex-Medeama and Aduana Stars defender Paul Aidoo, ex-Hearts of Oak defender Richard Akrofi, Eric Donkor(Left-back), and Atta Kusi (Right Back) both former players of Kotoko and Ashanti Gold have all joined to improve the squad with a lot of experience.
The club has further added stability and creativity to their midfield with the inclusion of former Ghana U-20 defensive midfielder Seidu Salifu and ex-Hearts of oak offensive midfielder Samudeen Ibrim as well as Karela United’s playmaker Franklin Osei.
With Kwame Peprah who has 8 goals already, leading the team with assurity of chances due to the creativity in the middle; King Faisal will look deadly in attack. Also together with a stable defense and the control in midfield, they will be a cut in the throat for the other clubs in the forthcoming second round.
