Mona 4Reall, popularly known as Hajia 4Reall, nabbed her first 3Music Awards trophy on Sunday (Mar. 6) at the 5th Women’s Brunch event.
The sensational female musician was adjudged “Emerging Woman of the Year” in a category dedicated to celebrating new outstanding and distingush female musicians in Ghana. In a keenly contested category, Hajia 4Reall won the prize against Abi Ima, Darkua, Joa, Lizzy Ntiamoah, Moliy, Niiella, Queendalyn, and Titi Owusu.
Despite losing the highly coveted “Woman of the Year” award to songbird Gyakie, Hajia 4Reall is still in contention for her second 3Music Awards trophy in the “Breakthrough Act of the Year” category.
The fifth edition of the annual 3Music Awards Women’s Brunch aired on Ghana’s Independence Day and two days before International Women’s Day from the 3Music Network headquarters under the theme “Breaking the Bias”. The theme is in solidarity with a global clamour for fair operational opportunities and freedom to women in creative arts.
The segment is the aspect of the Awards Show that seeks to represent, reveal and reward the accomplishments of women in the space. As is customary, the show recognized the most distinguished accomplishments over the past year by women, and bring the enterprises of emerging women to the fore.
Each year the show dedicates itself to representing the interests of women and highlighting their accomplishments in the year under review. Th 5th 3Music Awards will air on March 27 on 3Music TV and affiliate media houses.
