Hearts of Oak will host Medeama SC on matchday 29 of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League on Sunday at the Accra sports stadium.
The Phobians saw the five-game winning run end after drawing 1-1 in a thrilling encounter with great Olympics in their last league outing.
As a result, the Phobians are pegged on 50 points, same as the rivals Kotoko although, the former lie top courtesy a superior goal difference.
With the race heating up at the top, coach Samuel Boadu’s men cannot afford to drop any more points. However, they face Medeama SC, who are only four points behind the leaders and could make a case for the championship with a win against the 20-time league champions.
The Tarkwa-based side was not particularly impressed on the road after losing their last two the road, a 2-0 loss to Aduana Stars before conceding three against Inter Allies in the last travel to the Capital.
Despite the poor run away from home, Medeama has enjoyed a good spell against the Phobians in recent times after winning three of the last five games and drawing two in the process.
Hearts will attempt to end their poor run against the Medeama side, who have proven a bogey side anytime they play the Capital club.
The match is scheduled for 6 PM at the Accra Sports Stadium and will be live on the Startimes/ Adepa TV channel.
