Pundit at Accra based radio station, known as Sergio Manucho has promised to give five thousand Ghana cedis [GHC5,000] to any nominee who will beat Highhlife act and rapper, Kofi Kinaata in the upcoming Vodafone Ghana Music Awards- VGMA songwriter Of The Year category.
The Takoradi based act has been nominated for the Songwriter of the Year Award alongside, decorated gospel acts, Diana Hamilton and Joe Mettle, dancehall act, Epixode, Abiana, and singer Adina Thembi.
Speaking on JoyNews, Manucho tagged the Things Fall Apart’ himaker as genius.
He said;
” Genius, if somebody can beat Kofi Kinaata to the Songwriter of the year for the fourth time, that guy should come and you known get 5, 000 me. Not that I’m showering praises on Kofi Kinaata or I’m affiliated to Kofi Kinaata but just analyse, This new song ‘Thy grace’ and you what’s that song ‘Behind the scenes’. You’hv listened to ‘Behind the scenes? Solid tune. He is winning the Songwriter of the year one more time.”
Meanwhile, the act has won in the prestigious category, three times.
