The 8th Parliament’s Minority Leader, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu has described as acts calculated and intended to disorganize rank and file of the National Democratic Congress ( NDC), posters and publications making rounds which purport to present him as running for the office of President come 2024 on the ticket of the party.
Posters and publications are making rounds and gaining attention on social media which purport to present him as running for the office of the President come 2024 for the NDC.
Reacting to the posters and publications in a statement, the member of Parliament stated emphatically that he has not made any declarations nor intentions neither has he communicated same.
He says he has a duty to lead the party in Parliament with the ultimate objective of holding President Akufo-Addo and his Government accountable till 2024.
According to Haruna Iddrisu, his primary preoccupation is to see the NDC regain power after the 2024 general elections with a majority in Parliament.
” These are calculated and intended to disorganize the rank and file of the NDC. I have a duty to lead the NDC party in Parliament with the ultimate objective of holding President Nana Akufo-Addo and his Government accountable for the mandate handed him till 2024. My primary preoccupation is to see the NDC regain power after the 2024 general elections with a majority in Parliament. I have made no declarations, I have made no intentions neither have I communicated same. My political future is in the hands of God” The MP’s statement read.
